Armenian Authorities Are Doing Everything With Azerbaijan and Turkey to Close the Artsakh Chapter, Says Sahakyan
The Armenian authorities not only see no opportunity for the return of Artsakh residents but are also doing everything together with Azerbaijan and Turkey to completely close the chapter on Artsakh, stated Ishkhan Sahakyan, a member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Bureau, during a press briefing at the "Artsakh: Unresolved Conflict, Right of Return" international conference.
"We say that peace cannot be achieved through the threat of force, ethnic cleansing, and genocide. Any document obtained through such means has neither legal nor political legitimacy. Yes, due to the actions of this government, we suffered defeat in the war, and with this government's complicity, Artsakh has been ethnically cleansed, but that does not mean we should close this chapter and forget everything. We assert that the right of return and self-determination of the Artsakh Armenians must be sacredly preserved, and it should become part of the national and international agenda. Only through this path can there be peace and stability in the region. There is a possibility for that," highlighted Ishkhan Sahakyan.
