SCO Summit Adopts Final Declaration
The leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) have adopted a declaration aimed at strengthening cooperation in various fields, including military, energy, and transportation, as well as joint efforts regarding the security of artificial intelligence systems. This was reported by Deutsche Welle.
The heads of state also called for the United Nations to adapt to contemporary political and economic realities and ensure the representation of developing countries in UN governance bodies through moderate reforms.
The document expresses deep concern from the SCO countries regarding the ongoing escalation of the Palestine-Israel conflict. They strongly condemn actions that have led to numerous civilian casualties and a catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
Furthermore, the declaration condemns the strikes carried out by Israel and the United States within Iran, aimed at neutralizing its nuclear program. The document states that the principles of state sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, equality, mutual benefit, non-interference in internal affairs, and the non-use or threat of force form the basis for the stable development of international relations.
