Israel Strikes Massively in Southern Lebanon
The Israeli military launched attacks today on several districts and towns in southern Lebanon, as reported by RIA Novosti, citing local military sources. According to these sources, Israel utilized combat aircraft, guided missiles, and drones.
Massive assaults were carried out on the Haraj Ali al-Taher area and the ad-Dabsha suburbs of the city of Nabatiya. On August 28, it was reported that Israeli Air Force planes struck near the Reyhan settlement and in the Mahmoudiya region in southern Lebanon.
Lebanese authorities have repeatedly stated that Israel continues to systematically violate the sovereignty of the republic, despite a ceasefire agreement. The Israel Defense Forces maintain a presence in five strategic locations in southern Lebanon, including the northern part of the Hajar village, which Lebanese authorities view as an ongoing occupation and a violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
The Israeli military claims that the strikes target the military infrastructure of Hezbollah to eliminate its command leadership.
