UN General Assembly Declares August 30 as International Day of Victims of Enforced Disappearances; MFA Issues Statement

Armenia reaffirms its commitment to the protection of the rights of victims of enforced disappearances. This is stated in a post by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia on its X social platform.

“Fifteen years ago, the UN General Assembly declared August 30 as the International Day of Victims of Enforced Disappearances. As a participant in the convention on the protection of all persons from enforced disappearance, Armenia reaffirms its commitment to the right of families to know the fate of their relatives and to ensure justice for these individuals,” the post reads.
