During a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Copenhagen, it was demonstrated that there is a willingness for the prolonged continuation of the military conflict in Ukraine. This was announced by Hungary's Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.

“Budapest will not support sanctions against Russian energy enterprises, on which Hungary’s energy supply depends,” he stated. He also added that the European Commission has yet to respond to the letter from Hungary and Slovakia protesting the situation in Ukraine.
