Zakharova Provides Details on Ovchuk's Visit to Armenia
The meetings held by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Ovchuk in Yerevan have led to an understanding of certain nuances regarding the incompatibility of technical regulations between the European and Eurasian Unions. This was announced by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during a press briefing.
According to her, Ovchuk’s meetings took place in a professional, candid, and constructive atmosphere, covering various aspects of economic cooperation, both bilaterally and within the framework of the EAEU. Specific issues regarding the supply of certain goods, particularly food, were discussed, leading to a mutual understanding of some subtleties.
“This dialogue has shown that Armenia is interested in the rhythmic activation of Eurasian integration mechanisms. Armenian producers feel the practical results of their country's participation in the Eurasian Union and understand the importance of unhindered exports of goods to EAEU countries, including Russia,” Zakharova added.
