Dozens of Countries Urge Their Citizens to Leave Ukraine
Several countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Israel, and Kuwait, have urged their citizens to leave Ukraine. This information has been reported by the foreign ministries of these countries.
Earlier, the US Department of State announced that American diplomats not in key positions had been instructed to leave Ukraine. The Netherlands will also withdraw most of its embassy staff in Kyiv, with only those diplomats remaining who are essential for the normal functioning of the diplomatic mission.
The Spanish authorities have stated that they are ready to evacuate their embassy staff in Kyiv if necessary, although such measures have not yet been taken. Iraqi authorities have advised their embassy staff in Kyiv to take their annual leave.
The Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported that the embassy in Kyiv, along with the consulates in Odesa and Donetsk, is operating under emergency conditions.
