Macron's Obsession with Creating European Forces Against Russia Is Becoming Increasingly Aggressive

French President Emmanuel Macron is attempting to prevent a deal between Russia and the United States regarding Ukraine, writes the French portal AgoraVox.

“Macron's obsession with creating European forces against Russia is becoming increasingly aggressive, to the point that it threatens diplomatic dialogue regarding peace between the U.S. and Russia. Macron is imposing his participation in the process to sabotage the deal,” the publication states.

It is noteworthy that on August 24, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov mentioned in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin that Macron might feel uncomfortable with his tough rhetoric about Russia.

The French President, for his part, noted that Russia has become a destabilizing force and a threat to Europeans. He insists that in the near future, one should not expect it to transform into an open, peaceful, and democratic state due to the ingrained Soviet legacy that prevents a return to the past.
