Aliyev, Don't Anger Russia: Protests Against the President of Azerbaijan

Activists from the group "Another Russia. V. Limonov" held a protest in St. Petersburg near the Azerbaijani consulate. This was reported by local media.

The local police detained three participants: Gleb Yezhov, Danil Shmalkoy, and Ivan Gubin. The activists read a lengthy text in front of the Azerbaijani consulate, which particularly stated: "Aliyev, don't anger Russia. The President of Azerbaijan, Aliyev, has decided to play the anti-Russian card. He is cozily befriending the criminal regime in Kyiv and is providing them with military and civilian supplies, endorsing the war against Russia. Recently, he congratulated the 'bloody clown' Zelensky on the occasion of 'Independence' Day. Aliyev imprisons Russian journalists in Baku and silences those who want to befriend our country.

Moreover, Baku receives huge amounts of money from the Diaspora, with hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis living and earning here. Aliyev thinks he can simultaneously feed off Russia and speak ill of it; that won't work! We demand the Azerbaijani authorities cease their support for Kyiv. Free the political prisoners: journalists Igor Kartavikh, Yevgeny Belousov, political analyst Nazaket Mamedov, and Eurasian movement activists Ibrahim Hasanov, Ibrahim Gumbatov, and others. Do not dare to obstruct Russia's cultural and enlightening activities! Russophobia is an illness. It is time to see a doctor," the protesters declared.
