Kyiv to Receive Over 3,000 American Missiles in Six Weeks: WSJ
The U.S. administration confirmed earlier this week the sale of 3,300 air-launched missiles to Kyiv. These will arrive in Ukraine within six weeks, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The report indicates that the total amount of the military aid package is $850 million, with a significant portion funded by European countries. The newspaper does not detail what is included aside from the ERAM missiles, but notes that the U.S. administration delayed the approval until the meetings between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The range of these missiles is between 150 and 280 miles (240-450 km), as stated by The Wall Street Journal. This means that Ukraine will likely need to request Pentagon approval for their use in combat operations.
