Israel Summarizes Results of Military Operation's First Three Months

Israeli military officials have completed the destruction of Hamas’ "military infrastructure" in the northern Gaza Strip. This was stated by Israel Defense Forces spokesman Daniel Hagari at a press conference.

According to him, it took three months to defeat Hamas in northern Gaza while preventing the group's battalions from launching large-scale attacks.

“We have finished dismantling Hamas’ military infrastructure in the northern part of Gaza, and we will continue to deepen our achievements, strengthen the blockade, and defend the border,” said Hagari.

He warned that despite the defeat of Hamas in northern Gaza, sporadic rocket fire from those areas targeting Israel remains likely.

“We have struck and will continue to strike, and we will continue to deepen our achievements in these areas, but it takes time,” Hagari stated.

Hagari added that the Israel Defense Forces are currently focused on the destruction of Hamas in the central and southern parts of Gaza. “We will do this in a different, methodical way, drawing on the lessons learned from battles so far. Fighting will continue throughout 2024. We are working in accordance with the plan to achieve war objectives—to dismantle Hamas in the center and south and continue all efforts, intelligence, operational and military pressure, and to return the hostages,” he said.
