Kyiv Collaborates with New Delhi to Prepare Zelensky's Upcoming Visit to India
Kyiv is collaborating with New Delhi to prepare for President Volodymyr Zelensky's upcoming visit to India and is coordinating the dates of the visit, Ukrainian Ambassador to India, Olexander Polishchuk, has stated to ANI agency.
The diplomat reminded that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had previously invited Zelensky to visit India. “The parties are working on this. We expect that he will definitely come to India. This will be a significant achievement in our bilateral relations,” Polishchuk said, adding that the exact date is currently being coordinated.
On August 11, Modi and Zelensky agreed during a phone call to schedule a personal meeting in September during the UN General Assembly.
India has consistently supported a negotiated resolution to the Ukraine conflict. The Republic has not joined the West in imposing sanctions against Moscow.
