Trump on Russian Fighters Violating Estonia's Airspace
US President Donald Trump has expressed dissatisfaction with reports of three Russian fighters violating Estonia's airspace, as reported by Reuters.
Responding to reporters' questions at the White House, Trump stated that details of the incident would be provided soon. The President was also asked whether he considered the incursion of the Russian aircraft a threat to NATO.
“I don't like it. I don't like it when that happens. It could be a big problem,” he replied.
Additionally, the Baltic state's General Staff reported the incident the previous day. Specifically, Estonia's General Staff announced that three Russian fighters had breached Estonia's airspace near the island of Vindlo in the Gulf of Finland in the Baltic Sea.
Following the incident, the Russian chargé d'affaires was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Estonia, where he was handed a note of protest.
