Putin's Aide Reveals Details of Conversation with Trump

The dialogue between the presidents of the United States and Russia was quite lengthy, lasting 2 hours and 5 minutes. This was announced by Putin's aide, Yuri Ushakov.

According to him, Putin congratulated Trump on the birth of his 11th grandchild, wishing health to the newborn and to the daughter of the American leader. He added that the conversation was honest and constructive and took place in a spirit of mutual respect.

“The leaders discussed the state of relations between Russia and the United States and expressed their support for further normalization. The presidents also addressed issues regarding prisoner exchanges, with the Kremlin stating that citizen exchange programs are being discussed under the principle of '9-for-9'.

“Trump considers Russia to be one of the most important partners of the United States,” Ushakov stated, adding that Putin and Trump agreed to continue dialogue on all issues, including Ukraine.

He noted that the presidents referred to each other as Donald and Vladimir, and neither wished to be the first to end the phone call. Ushakov concluded, “The leaders do not rule out holding a personal meeting, although the venue and dates have not yet been determined. During the conversation, there was no discussion on deadlines for a possible agreement on a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.” He noted that Trump would arrive in Russia after the conflict ends.
