US Plans to Spend Large Amounts on Project with Azerbaijan
The United States will spend a "large sum" on a project with Azerbaijan, according to the Pentagon. Specifically, $3.5 billion will be allocated for programs aimed at reducing risks associated with weapons of mass destruction in partner countries, including Azerbaijan.
The contract calls for a wide range of services and goods to ensure the sustainable reduction of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats to partner nations.
According to data published by the U.S. Department of Defense, Washington is collaborating with 35 countries under the CTR program, including Ukraine, Moldova, Azerbaijan, India, Pakistan, and several others.
