According to Fitch's Interim Report, Risks of Resumption of Conflict Between Armenia and Azerbaijan Have Decreased

The Minister of Finance of Armenia, Vahe Hakobyan, has commented on the interim report by the Fitch rating agency regarding the outcomes of the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. According to the Minister, the Fitch rating agency, one of the most well-known rating agencies internationally, has recently published an interim report indicating that the risks of renewed conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan have diminished. The peace agreement aims to enhance Armenia's creditworthiness in the medium term and stimulate trade through alternative routes via Turkey, benefiting not only Armenia but also the entire region's economic growth.

Fitch has effectively reaffirmed our projections regarding the facilitation of Armenia’s economic growth in the medium term, due to the reduction of geopolitical risks, as well as declines in currency fluctuations and fiscal risks. These positive developments open new opportunities for attracting international investments and increase Armenia's reliability. We await responses from other agencies,” emphasized Armenia’s Minister of Finance, Vahe Hakobyan.
