Ukraine Strikes Russian Port, Destroys Iranian Warship
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have targeted a Russian port in the Astrakhan region, striking a ship carrying spare parts for Iranian 'Shahid' drones. This was reported by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"As part of the efforts to reduce the adversary's capability to conduct air strikes, on August 14, the special operations forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in cooperation with other Defense Forces units, launched a fire strike on the Olya sea port (in the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation)," the statement reads.
It is noted that the port is being used by Russia as an important logistical point for the supply of military goods from Iran. "At the same time, a strike was carried out on a ship transporting weapons from Iran," added the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
