The Reason Behind Trump’s Involvement in Resolving the Russia-Ukraine Conflict

US President Donald Trump considers his participation in resolving the Ukraine conflict as a step towards receiving a Nobel Peace Prize, NBC News reports citing White House sources.

“The President believes he is deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize, but does not think he will receive it,” one of the White House officials said.

The broadcaster highlights that Trump has recently been actively creating an image of a peacemaker, frequently reminding people on social media of his diplomatic successes.

It was previously reported that Trump has made multiple calls to former NATO Secretary General and current Norway Economy Minister Jens Stoltenberg to inquire about the Nobel Prize nomination.

Additionally, it is worth noting that representatives from seven countries have supported the American leader's nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize. Among them are Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, Gabon's President Brice Oligui Nguema, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the government of Pakistan, and Rwandan Foreign Minister Olivier Ndihokubwayo.
