Terrorists Will Not Be Spared: India Will No Longer Yield to Nuclear Blackmail, Narendra Modi

Nuclear blackmail will no longer influence India’s decisions regarding national security. This was stated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a speech marking India's Independence Day.

“India has decided that it will not tolerate nuclear blackmail. This nuclear blackmail has been ongoing for a long time, but we will never accept it. We have decided that terrorists and their associates will not be spared. We will not yield to nuclear pressure,” Modi added.

Addressing the attack in Pahalgam and the country's response, dubbed 'Sindhur', the Prime Minister mentioned that the government has given the armed forces a free hand. “They decide the strategy, the targets, and the timelines. Our forces have done what no one has done in decades. We have penetrated hundreds of kilometers into enemy territory and leveled the terrorists' headquarters,” he said.

It is notable that on April 22, a terrorist attack occurred in Pahalgam, a union territory in Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the deaths of twenty-five Indian citizens and one Nepali. India has stated that it possesses evidence that Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence was involved in the attack. On the night of May 7, Indian forces launched the 'Sindhur' operation, striking targets in Pakistan where terrorists were located. Pakistan retaliated. Both sides announced a complete ceasefire on May 10. Indian officials stated that while the 'Sindhur' operation was suspended, it was not over.
