Aliyev Discusses Possible Russian Involvement in AZAL Aircraft Attack

During his visit to the United States, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev spoke with Fox News about relations with Russia and the December 2024 downing of the Azerbaijan Airlines flight 8243. According to APA, Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan does not consider it a deliberate attack.

"We simply demanded that it be recognized that those who committed this crime be punished and that full compensation be paid," added Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
