State of Emergency Declared Due to Heavy Rainfall in Lithuania

The Government of Lithuania has declared a state of emergency across the entire territory of the republic due to heavy rainfall that has destroyed over half of the crops. This information was reported on the government’s official website.

“The government has made the decision to implement a state of emergency at the national level due to the extreme meteorological phenomenon associated with a prolonged period of rainfall during the active vegetative phase of plants,” the statement reads.
