I Have No Words to Speak, Stop It: Driver Who Hit Sona Mnatsakanyan

The driver who hit Sona Mnatsakanyan, Aram Navasardyan, refused to answer questions from reporters after the latest court session. He only stated that he does not accept the charges presented by the court and does not consider himself guilty.

"I have no words to speak, stop it. I have no desire to talk," Navasardyan remarked in response to journalists' inquiries, declining to comment on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement that the motorcade was escorting not Pashinyan himself, but the Prime Minister of Armenia.

Earlier, we reported that during the court session, the accused Aram Navasardyan's defense lawyer justified his client, asserting that the charges were baseless. However, the prosecutor insisted that the charges had been proven. Furthermore, the prosecuting attorney urged the defendant to apologize to the relatives of the deceased.

It is worth recalling that on April 26, 2022, around 18:05, at the intersection of Paronyan and Leo streets, the commander of a traffic police escort for the Armenian police drove a "Toyota Prado" vehicle and hit a 28-year-old resident of Ararat Province, who was subsequently transported to the "Nairi" medical center with serious injuries and passed away without regaining consciousness. The motorcade was escorting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the time, and the deceased woman was pregnant.
