Earthquake in Azerbaijan Felt in Armenia
On August 16 at 08:31 local time (04:31 GMT), an earthquake was recorded by the seismological network of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia at geographical coordinates 41.01° N latitude and 46.06° E longitude, 38 km east of the town of Tovuz, Azerbaijan, at a depth of 10 km, measuring 3.5 in magnitude.
The intensity of the tremors in the epicentral area was recorded at 4-5 on the scale.
The earthquake was felt in the Tavush region, particularly in the villages of Voskevan, Artsvaberd, Nerk'in Karmiraghbyur, Aigedzor, and Chinari, with an intensity of 2-3.
