Major Accident in Dzovagyugh, Casualties Reported

On August 9, at 21:15, the crisis management center of the Tavush Regional Rescue Department received a report that an accident had occurred near the supermarket in Dzovagyugh, resulting in casualties.

A firefighting team and a special rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Gegharkunik Regional Rescue Department were dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that vehicles of brands “UAZ” and “Opel” collided on the 72nd kilometer of the Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan highway. The drivers and five passengers were transported to medical centers.

The rescuers de-energized the vehicles and closed the valves of the gas cylinders.
