I Assume Iran Will Support the Unblocking: Armen Grigoryan

Speaking about Trump's path, there cannot be a corridor logic, because the trilateral declaration states that the unblocking in the region will take place based on the principles of sovereignty, jurisdiction, territorial integrity, and reciprocity. This assessment was given by the Secretary of the Armenian National Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, commenting on the results of the meeting of the leaders of Armenia, the United States, and Azerbaijan in Washington.

"Thus, any unblocking based on corridor logic is excluded. This indicates that the unblocking will occur on the aforementioned principles. Therefore, I believe that such a question cannot arise. The unblocking of the region serves the interests of all countries in the region. There can be no second opinion on this, but I also want to emphasize that the unblocking is taking place within the framework of the political statements previously made by Armenia," Grigoryan said.

He recalled that Armenia has announced this in the last 4-5 years, thus Iran has also been aware that Armenia is ready to carry out unblocking based on the aforementioned principles. "Since Iran previously stated that they support the unblocking within the framework of Armenia's positions, I assume that there will be support for the unblocking, because Iran will generally be interested in the unblocking of the region," the Secretary of the National Security Council of Armenia noted.
