Ukrainian Conflict Could Escalate into World War, Says US President

US President Donald Trump has stated that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine could have escalated into a world war without Washington's intervention, reports RIA Novosti.

"I believe that if we hadn't stepped in, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine could have ended in a world war. And I stopped it," said the US president during a meeting at the White House with his Armenian and Azerbaijani counterparts.
