Turkey Pleased with Progress in Peace Process Between Baku and Yerevan

Turkey is pleased with the progress recorded in the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the United States and considers it an "extraordinary event," according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, as reported by TASS.

Leaders from the U.S., Armenia, and Azerbaijan signed a joint declaration in Washington regarding the peaceful resolution of the conflict between Yerevan and Baku.

"We are pleased with the progress made in establishing lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia and with the will expressed today in Washington. This step taken during a period of escalation of international conflicts and crises is an extremely important event for ensuring regional peace and stability. We highly appreciate the contribution of the U.S. administration to this process," the statement reads.
