Growing Discontent in Iran Towards Russia, Says CNN

The Iranian authorities are increasingly frustrated with Russia's stance, which Tehran had previously supported with ammunition and drones, according to CNN.

The disagreements have surfaced against the backdrop of Tehran's desire to reduce its dependency on Moscow, as Russia has localized the production of Iranian drones.

The publication reports that initially, Iran welcomed the localization of the production of Shahed 136 drones in Russia. Now, according to analysts and intelligence assessments, 90% of all processes are being carried out in Russia. Moscow has even begun to modernize these drones, equipping them with improved communication systems, more powerful batteries, and larger warheads. This development has reportedly caught Tehran off guard.

Iran's discontent with Russia has effectively increased during strikes against Iran by Israel and the US. Moscow's statements condemning the attacks have been perceived as weak support. According to the source, this approach from Moscow was not unexpected for Western intelligence and illustrates the nature of cooperation between the countries.
