California's New Fire Rapidly Spreads: Situation Critical

On Thursday, the "Canyon Fire" that erupted north of Los Angeles has spread over more than 2.3 square miles within just a few hours. It has been reported that thousands of residents have been evacuated, according to CNN.

The fire continues to spread eastward, having consumed around 15 square miles in six hours, resulting in the evacuation of approximately 50,000 people. A total of 4,200 residents and 1,400 structures are under evacuation orders, while an additional 12,500 people are in a warning status.

At the scene, 250 firefighters are at work, supported by helicopters and aerial assistance. The area is under a high-risk alert due to extreme heat, low humidity, and dry vegetation.
