Armenia, USA, and Azerbaijan Sign Joint Declaration
“After 35 years of conflict, they are now going to be friends for a long time. It is a great honor to welcome everyone at the White House. I want to welcome the two great leaders to Washington for signing this historic declaration,” said US President Donald Trump during a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Azerbaijani President Aliyev also stated that this is indeed a day of historic significance. “Today we are establishing peace in the Caucasus. President Trump is bringing peace to the Caucasus. Without President Trump, Armenia and Azerbaijan would continue to engage in never-ending negotiations,” he remarked.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan congratulated everyone, saying, “I congratulate the countries of our region and the world; as a result of this, the world will undoubtedly become a better place. This success would not have been possible without President Trump's personal involvement and decisive commitment to establishing peace in our region,” he stated.
As a result of the trilateral meeting, Armenia, the USA, and Azerbaijan signed a joint declaration.
