Car Leaves Road, Crashes into Wall and Overturns, Injuries Reported

On August 7, at 07:45, the crisis management center of the Aragatsotn regional rescue service received information that an accident had occurred on the Ashtarak-Aparan highway, near the village of Karbi, with reported injuries requiring rescue assistance.

A firefighting and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was discovered that cars of the brands 'VAZ' and 'GAZel' collided at the 5th kilometer of the Ashtarak-Aparan road. The 'GAZel' vehicle left the traffic area, crashed into a nearby wall, and overturned.

Before the rescuers arrived, passengers from the 'VAZ' vehicle and the driver of the 'GAZel' vehicle had been removed from the cars by local forces and hospitalized at a medical center. Rescuers disconnect the vehicles' battery and shut off the gas cylinder valves.
