Weather Forecast: Air Temperature in Armenia Will Not Change Significantly

In the territory of the Republic of Armenia, dry weather is expected until August 9. On August 10, brief rain and thunderstorms are anticipated in some regions.

According to the report, the wind will be southwestern at a speed of 2-5 m/s, with the possibility of gusts up to 17-20 m/s during thunderstorms.

The air temperature is not expected to change significantly. "Due to the influx of tropical hot air from the south, from August 6-9, a high thermal background is expected in the Ararat Plain, the foothills of Vayotz Dzor, the valleys of Syunik, and Yerevan, with daytime temperatures between +39 and +41 degrees Celsius around 16:00-17:00. High fire risk situations are also expected in the specified areas, as well as in the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk over the next five days," the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia reported.
