Netanyahu to Issue New Instructions to the Military
The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, announced at the beginning of a government meeting that he will provide new instructions to the military this week. According to RIA Novosti, he stated, 'At the end of this week, I will convene a government meeting to give instructions to the Israel Defense Forces on how to achieve the three military objectives we have set. We must continue to work together and fight together to achieve them,' according to statements released by his office.
Earlier, the cabinet had set three objectives for military operations in the Gaza Strip, which include eliminating the military and administrative capabilities of the militant group Hamas, ensuring the return of all hostages, and preventing the Palestinian enclave from posing a threat to Israel.
