Citizens Forced to Fill Out a Declaration: Nairi Sargsyan

We continue to receive reports regarding various threats compelling citizens to fill out a declaration. This was stated by Nairi Sargsyan, the leader of the 'I am Armenia' initiative on his Facebook page.

'Dear compatriots, especially employees of community, educational, and other state institutions, the 'I am Armenia' initiative continues to receive reports about various threats compelling citizens to fill out a declaration. They are misleading and applying psychological pressure by suggesting that failure to fill it out will result in the inability to receive salaries, benefit from income tax refunds, and so on. The agents of the government are attempting to make a law, which is essentially defunct, a reality. A law that harms the very citizens by hitting their pockets directly,' Sargsyan stated.
