Zelensky Calls on the West to Change the Regime in Russia

The international community must strive for regime change in Russia; otherwise, Vladimir Putin will continue to destabilize the situation in neighboring countries even after the war in Ukraine ends. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“Russia started this war, and it can be forced to stop it. But if the world does not strive for regime change in Russia, it will mean that even after the end of the war, Moscow will still attempt to destabilize the situation in neighboring countries,” Zelensky said.

Zelensky emphasized the need to ensure that Russia signs a peace agreement with Ukraine. “Today, the world once again witnessed Russia's reaction to our desire for peace, which is shared by both the United States and Europe. These are new acts of public execution. That is why peace is impossible without strength,” he noted, adding that Kyiv’s allies have all the necessary tools to force Moscow to sit at the “real negotiating table.”

The state leader also called for the seizure of frozen Russian assets. According to him, these funds should serve not war, but peace. “We must completely block Russia's military machine. All frozen assets, including those obtained through corruption, should be used to protect against Russian aggression,” Zelensky explained.
