Trump Highlights Casualty Figures for Russia and Ukraine Over the Past Year

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that since the beginning of 2025, Russia has lost 112,500 soldiers in its war against Ukraine, with nearly 20,000 of those losses occurring in just the last month. Trump made this statement on his Truth Social page.

At the same time, he noted that Ukrainian losses amount to approximately 8,000 soldiers, not including those who are missing. He stated that Ukraine also suffers civilian casualties due to missile strikes on Kyiv and other cities, but these losses, according to him, are of a "smaller scale."

"This is a war that should never have happened. This is Biden's war, not Trump's," the U.S. President said. He added that he is attempting to bring an end to the conflict.
