Investigative Committee Returns Gegham Manukyan's Phone
The Investigative Committee returned the phone of opposition 'Armenia' faction MP Gegham Manukyan yesterday, as reported to 'Azatutyun' by the Committee.
It is worth recalling that Manukyan's phone had been in the hands of employees from the National Security Service and later the Investigative Committee for the past three weeks. Law enforcement officials had arrested seven individuals, suspecting them of preparing for terrorism. Among the arrested was also Manukyan's son, Taron.
The apartment belonging to the MP, where his son resides, was searched. Several items were seized, including personal belongings of the MP that were in the apartment at that time, and Manukyan claimed that his phone was forcibly taken from him.
The member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation had sent letters to Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan urging the return of his personal belongings and punishment of those responsible.
