Zakharova Responds to the Destruction of Aivazovsky Monument in Stepanakert

Maria Zakharova has reacted to the news of the destruction of the Aivazovsky monument in Stepanakert by posting the renowned painter's canvases and stating, "Somewhere they are destroying his monuments, while I am erasing the ignorance of those who have never seen his paintings," wrote Zakharova.

It is worth noting that Konstantin Zatulin, the deputy chairman of the State Duma's CIS Affairs Committee, also responded, calling it "a barbaric act, frankly speaking, stupidity. Aivazovsky is a universally recognized genius of painting, appreciated not only in our Russian Empire but also worldwide." Previously, it was reported that Azerbaijani authorities demolished the Aivazovsky monument on the painter's birthday.
