The Human Rights Defender Receives Daily Complaints Regarding Light and Water Services

The Human Rights Defender's office in Armenia receives almost daily complaints related to light and water services. "I believe that significant reforms are needed in the public services sector in Armenia," said Anahit Manasyan, the Human Rights Defender, during a press conference today.

She emphasized that at first glance, it might seem that the public services sector has no connection with the Human Rights Defender, but there is a very clear link. "For example, the lack of water can lead to problems concerning a person's rights, the same applies to electricity," added Manasyan.

Manasyan also addressed issues related to the health problems of soldiers being drafted into the army and cases of lawmakers from the Civil Contract Party labeling clergymen as terrorists.
