The End of Humanitarian Crises in Gaza Will Come After Hamas Surrender, Trump Says
US President Donald Trump has stated that the end of the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip is contingent upon the surrender of the Hamas movement and the release of hostages. “The quickest way to end the humanitarian crises in Gaza is for Hamas to surrender and release the hostages,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
It is important to note that on October 7, 2023, Hamas launched an attack on Israel, resulting in the deaths of more than 1,200 individuals, with around 250 taken captive. In response, Israeli military forces commenced operations against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, where the death toll from Israeli strikes has already surpassed 60,000.
Approximately 50 hostages remain in Hamas's custody, some of whom may still be alive.
