The Armenian Police Guard Will Now Have Special Armored Vehicles

The government has established a list of special equipment to be included in the armament of the Police Guard during its meeting today.

The justification for the decision states that in accordance with the law, when participating in anti-terrorist operations or conducting military operations in areas where a state of war has been declared, the officers of the Police Guard are authorized, by order of the Chief of Police, to utilize special equipment included in the armament of the Police Guard to ensure the proper execution of the powers stipulated by law.

The armament of the Police Guard will include special equipment such as the armored personnel carrier BTR-80 and the armored personnel carrier BRDM-2. The list of equipment is determined by the government.
