Ara Abrahamyan's Company to Appeal Court Ruling
“Soglasie-Armenia” LLC finds it necessary to respond to the court ruling made by the Anti-Corruption Court, which has not yet come into legal force and has been disseminated through mass media. The civil case concerns a lawsuit by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Armenia against “Soglasie-Armenia” LLC, seeking to terminate ownership rights over a land plot allocated for construction and invalidate its state registration of ownership rights. This concerns the former “Children’s World” department store.
It is evident to “Soglasie-Armenia” LLC that the mentioned court ruling is influenced by the activities of businessman Ara Abrahamyan, President of RHM and UNESCO goodwill ambassador, residing in Russia. Furthermore, we announce that necessary construction work has been undertaken and is ongoing by “Soglasie-Armenia” LLC, and the recipients of delays, difficulties, and obstacles have been administrative bodies for a long time. Additionally, “Soglasie-Armenia” LLC is a foreign investor.
Unfortunately, the Anti-Corruption Court has completely overlooked these objective facts in this case and has preferred arbitrary manifestations of expropriation without necessary legal grounds. Notably, the justifications raised by the Court do not only contradict the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Armenia and the Supreme Court requirements but also the demands established by the European Court of Human Rights.
“Soglasie-Armenia” LLC will appeal the unlawful court ruling within the established timelines.
