Trump Ready to Strike Iranian Nuclear Facilities Again
U.S. President Donald Trump announced today that he is prepared to strike Iranian nuclear facilities again if Iran continues to work on its nuclear capabilities.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi stated that the Iranian side informed representatives of the "European trio" (United Kingdom, France, Germany) on Friday that it has the right to continue enriching uranium only within the territory of the Islamic Republic.
“We have destroyed their nuclear capability. They can start everything anew. If they do, we will destroy it faster than you can snap your fingers. We will have to do it. We will do it joyfully, openly, and cheerfully. Iran is sending bad signals. I will tell you, for a country that has just been destroyed, they are sending very bad signals, very unpleasant signals, and they should not do that,” Trump said at a press conference in Scotland.
On the night of June 13, Israel launched operations against Iran, accusing it of carrying out a secret military nuclear program. The parties exchanged strikes for 12 days, with the United States joining in to carry out a one-time strike against Iranian nuclear facilities on the night of June 22. After that, Tehran conducted missile strikes on the U.S. Al Udeid base in Qatar on the evening of June 23, indicating that the Iranian side is not intending to further escalate the situation.
