Property Owned by Ara Abrahamyan's Company to be Returned to Yerevan

On July 25, the Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia issued another ruling in favor of the Prosecutor's Office regarding the protection of state interests. According to the judicial information system, the court, presided over by Judge R. Avagyan, examined the anti-corruption civil case filed by the Office of the General Prosecutor of Armenia against 'Soglasie Armenia' LLC. This involved demands to terminate the ownership rights to a land plot allocated for construction, and to nullify the state registration of those ownership rights.

The court has ruled to satisfy the Prosecutor's claims, thus determining that 'Soglasie Armenia' LLC's ownership rights concerning the land plot, measuring 2859.4 square meters in the area designated for expropriation on Northern Avenue, are invalid. As a result, the state registration of ownership rights regarding this land plot has been annulled, and the 2859.4 square meter land plot will be returned to the municipality of Yerevan.

The precautionary measure applied by the Anti-Corruption Court prohibits 'Soglasie Armenia' from carrying out actions that would change the ownership of the undeveloped 2859.40 square meter plot located at 32 Arami Street in Yerevan, until the execution of the ruling, after which the measure will be lifted.

This concerns the plot of land where the former 'Children's World' department store is located, which, according to the Prosecutor's Office, was privatized in violation of the law. Ara Abrahamyan, president of the Union of Armenians of Russia, is the owner of 'Soglasie-Armenia' LLC.
