Iran Prevents Assassination Attempts Against 23 Senior Officials

Iran's intelligence services have thwarted assassination attempts against 23 senior officials during the 12-day war with Israel. This was announced in a statement from the Ministry of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic regarding the outcomes of the Iran-Israel conflict.

“We have successfully detected and neutralized terrorist plans targeting the assassination of the country's 23 senior officials during the 12-day war, as well as 13 similar conspiracies in the months leading up to the conflict, which resulted in the prevention of the assassination of 35 high-ranking civilian and military officials,” the document states.

The announcement also noted that the Israeli Mossad had plotted to organize mass unrest in Tehran following an Israeli strike on Evin prison, in collaboration with Iranian dissidents.
