Criminal Mentality No Longer Dominates in Our Country, Says Pashinyan
“160 thousand people in public spaces, more than 50 thousand of whom were at the shores of Lake Sevan. These figures couldn't have occurred without our reforms in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. For the first time in the history of the Republic, the police presence has never been this significant, particularly due to the establishment of the Patrol Police. This includes the Water Patrol Service on and around Sevan, which is unprecedented in the history of the Republic of Armenia,” wrote Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on his Facebook page.
“160 thousand people went to public spaces with their families to celebrate Vardavar, having a greater confidence that those living with a criminal mentality no longer play a dominant role in our country and cannot disrupt the positive atmosphere. In this context, the unseen yet crucial service of the NSS (National Security Service) is also important in ensuring public safety. And here is the result: 160 thousand people, including foreigners, with no extraordinary legal violations,” he stated.
“P.S. We should also add the new quality of the presence of the Rescue Service on the beaches of Sevan. We had two unfortunate cases of drowning, one in Lori and the other in Ararat regions in places not designated for swimming,” the Prime Minister concluded.
