We Want the OSCE Minsk Group Thrown into the Dustbin of History: Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan

“We want the OSCE Minsk Group to be thrown into the dustbin of history. It was a diplomatic fiasco and a complete failure. For 30 years, the Minsk Group carried out a failed mission without any real prospect of conflict resolution,” stated Hikmet Hajiyev, assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, in an interview with Berliner Zeitung.

According to him, Azerbaijan and Armenia are not discussing the issue of compensation payments by Armenia during the current negotiations.

“Nevertheless, Azerbaijan has conducted a comprehensive assessment of the damage incurred. According to UN methodologies, the assessed amount of damage is approximately $150 billion,” he added.
