Russia Has Already Offered Armenia Its Version of the 'Trump Bridge': Zakharova

Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, commented on the idea of leasing a route from Syunik to Nakhchivan by the United States, stating that there is nothing new in this proposal. She remarked, 'The Americans are not actually offering anything new. During the trilateral group meeting between Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, we proposed nearly the same thing in 2023, and we were close to unblocking transport arteries. Unfortunately, this was halted due to the destructive influence of the West and the Armenian authorities.'

Earlier, Spanish media reported on a secret memorandum by the United States concerning the transfer of Armenian territory for a transport corridor named the 'Trump Bridge,' which also includes the presence of an American private military company. It should be noted that the Armenian government issued a statement that the mentioned article bears no relation to reality.
