Netanyahu Calls Back Israeli Delegation from Negotiations

Following the recent ceasefire proposal by the Palestinian group Hamas and the offer to release hostages, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has recalled the team negotiating hostage issues from Qatar for "consultations in Israel." This was announced in a statement issued by Netanyahu's office.

"We appreciate the efforts of the Qatari and Egyptian mediators, as well as those of [U.S. Special Envoy Steve] Wittekopf to achieve progress in the negotiations," the statement said.
