Syria Officially Requests Assistance from Turkey

The representative of Turkey's National Defense Ministry, responding to questions about the clashes in the Syrian city of Suwayda and Israel's attacks on Damascus, stated: “The recent intensification of Israeli attacks, particularly in the southern region of Suwayda, has exacerbated tensions between the Druze community and the Damascus government. Turkey maintains a decisive stance on the protection of Syria's territorial integrity, ensuring stability, and combating terrorist organizations. The National Defense Ministry is closely cooperating with Syria’s new government. The Syrian government has officially requested assistance from Turkey to strengthen the country's defense capabilities and to fight all terrorist organizations, particularly ISIS. In response to this request, we continue to provide training, advisory, and technical support to bolster Syria's defensive capabilities.”
